The Hellenic Institute of Non-Destructive Testing operates as an accredited personnel certification body, according to the requirements of EN ISO\/IEC 17024 and EN ISO 9712. In this context, Corporate Social Responsibility is not a side activity, but an integral part of the Institute's strategy and operational philosophy.<\/span><\/p>

1. Staff Certification as a Mechanism of Social Protection<\/div>

Personnel certification in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) plays a critical social role that goes far beyond a narrow professional scope. NDT is a fundamental tool for ensuring the structural integrity of high-risk infrastructure, such as welded constructions, pressure vessels, pipelines, aircraft, bridges, and nuclear facilities.<\/span><\/p>

The use of Non-Destructive Methods requires specialized knowledge, documented skills, and certified ability at Certification Levels 1, 2, and 3 according to EN ISO 9712.<\/span><\/p>

Every certification issued by the Greek Institute of Non-Destructive Testing basically serves as a social guarantee that the person carrying out inspections on critical infrastructure has documented and independently verified professional competence.<\/span><\/p>

2. Impartiality, Transparency, and Protection of Stakeholders<\/div>

The Hellenic Institute of Non-Destructive Testing applies a strict Impartiality Management System according to the requirements of paragraph 4.3 of EN ISO\/IEC 17024, making sure that the assessment and certification processes aren\u2019t influenced by commercial, financial, or other pressures that could affect the objectivity of the results.<\/span><\/p>

Transparency is a non-negotiable principle. Candidates, employers, authorities, and other interested parties have access to full information about:<\/span><\/p>

The evaluation criteria and procedures for each CME method and certification level.<\/span><\/p>

The rules for issuing, renewing, suspending, and revoking certificates.<\/span><\/p>

The mechanisms for submitting objections and complaints, according to paragraphs 9.8 and 9.9 of the standard.<\/span><\/p>

The ability to verify active certified individuals in real time.<\/span><\/p>

The Hellenic Institute of Non-Destructive Testing recognizes the direct link between the quality of NDT personnel certification and the protection of human life. The Hellenic Institute of Non-Destructive Testing actively contributes to developing human capital in the sensitive field of NDT. By evaluating candidates on theoretical, practical, and specialized levels \u2013 according to approved Certification Schemes \u2013 it sets the standards of professional competence in the Greek market.<\/span><\/p>

The Hellenic Institute of Non-Destructive Testing maintains an active and structured presence in the European and international accreditation, standardization, and professional certification ecosystem. At a national level, it collaborates with ESYD (the Hellenic Accreditation System), the national authority responsible for accrediting certification bodies and laboratories, ensuring its processes are fully aligned with current national and European frameworks.<\/span><\/p>

At an international level, HINDT takes part in the activities of the EOQ (European Organization for Quality), helping to shape common standards of quality and professional excellence.
