PCNDT Logo Usage Procedure

1. Introduction
1.1

This document sets out the terms and conditions for using the PCNDT logo, as well as the allowed references to PCNDT certification by organizations approved by HINDT, and by other stakeholders in the PCNDT Scheme, including certificate holders and their employers.

1.2

The following requirements apply to any printed or digital material published or distributed on or after the following dates:

Digital material – 01.01.2026

Printed material – 01.01.2026

Certificates – 01.01.2026

1.3

Holders of PCNDT certificates are not allowed to use the PCNDT logo in any way other than what has been provided to them for that purpose by HINDT — especially in the form of any type of stamp — or in any way that has not been explicitly approved by HINDT.

2. Definitions
2.1

PCNDT Logo: The PCNDT logo refers to the distinctive sign shown in Image 1 and bears the letters 'PCNDT'.

3. Form and depiction of the PCNDT logo
3.1

The use of the PCNDT logo is allowed only in the form shown in Figure 1 and provided that the following conditions are cumulatively met:

3.1.1

The organization's logo is also shown.

3.1.2

It doesn't appear with more visual emphasis than the logo or the name of the respective organization.

3.1.3

It comes exclusively in two colors — PC blue and NDT black — according to the standard in Figure 1.

3.1.4

Embossed or stamped versions of the logo are not allowed to be used without prior explicit approval from HINDT.

4. Restrictions on the use of the PCNDT logo
4.1

The PCNDT logo is not allowed to appear on:

4.1.1

Vehicles

4.1.2

Buildings

4.1.3

Flags

4.1.4

Calibration or test certificates.

4.2

The PCNDT logo is not allowed to be used in a way that could mislead the public.

5. Use of the PCNDT Logo and Mention of PCNDT Certification in Promotional Material
5.1

When the PCNDT logo is used alongside accompanying text, it must be clearly separated from services provided by an organization approved by HINDT as a Certification Body, as long as these services don't fall within the scope of its specific approval. For example, connecting the PCNDT logo with text related to providing educational services is prohibited.

5.2

Educational institutions and other organizations that do not have approved use of the logo may refer to the PCNDT only through a proper in-text citation, namely:

5.2.1

Training conducted according to the PCNDT curriculum.

5.2.2

Requirement for the staff to hold the following PCNDT approvals.

5.3

The display of the PCNDT logo on any test item or product is prohibited, as is its use in any way that directly or indirectly implies any aspect of product certification.

5.4

The PCNDT logo, or any reference to PCNDT, is not allowed to be used in a way that suggests PCNDT takes any responsibility for the accuracy of tests carried out by certified bodies or organizations.

5.5

Subject to the terms set out in this document, PCNDT encourages the use of its logo or reference to its certification scheme, provided that generally accepted standards of decency are observed.

5.6

Regardless of the requirements included in this document, PCNDT expressly reserves the right to demand that anyone using the PCNDT logo or referring to it in an unacceptable way immediately stop doing so.
